I cannot watch the game until Sat. so I am resorting to stat lines on Yahoo. I know. Embaressing. Does Tate have two fumbles or just one? ]]>

I know refs are usualy hometeam biased but jeez! http://spiritof12.seaintsol.com/MBThread.aspx?GroupID=1&ID=16383
Did anyone notice the Raiders QB sitting in th back field for almost 10 seconds and no one got called for holding even as I saw our guys practically having to use thumb holds to get free? Then Our Cornerback barely touched their receiver and suddenly it's pass interference? OK- I know they have to stack the deck against us in order to get a crowd in the stands but sheez! Really? Is it that necessarry to cheat that dramatically? It's on video and pretty blatant. I don't believe in complaining about close calls that's just whining but blatant needs a referee reprimand and a fine for the ref. I wonder why refs don't get a quorum together and judge, reprimand, and fine refs for really bad calls. They are the refs they should be held to a higher standard than these guys are officiating. If they are not held to a higher standard then they are merely amatuers playing at being pro's. ]]>

Wow. Butler drops an easy one, then holding negating a good run, followed by Whitehurst sliding too soon.

Then P.I. on Jennings and then IMO a lousy screen set up for a TD. I dont care that this is pre-season, but some starters are on the field .pathetic start. C'mon!! ]]>

To give everyone a feeling that TJ isn't worth what we are paying him and that no one in the league will pick up his contract means it's not a good contract. We overpaid for him and/or he's underperformed. and to be honest i agree with both. I'd rather see our young recievers get time. But at the same time TJ is probably in the top 30 for recievers in the league. i wouldn't just dump him, especially this late in the preseason. wait til the years up and if he continues to underperform worry about it then.

Minnesota sounds interested, trade Housh/JJones for Gearheart and call it good. ]]>

I have a strong feeling, Carroll is looking for this team to hit the bottom, so he can reap the rewards of a good draft next year.

Bold prediction: He has his eyes set on Washington Husky, Jake Locker.

He seen him in the PAC-10 for the last what 3-4 years?

Plus, it may be hard to swallow a terrible season, but we all know the only way to get better is to hit bottom and gets high draft picks, you'll only stay mediocre, if all you do for years is play mediocre football and get mediocre picks.

To get to the top you gotta hit the bottom.

I am not really stoked about bringing in Jax. However, I am not ready to start calling out the FO just yet. Lets remember that Schneider has a plan and he is going to execute that plan. Lets also not forget that it was not Schneider that signed Housh to this deal. As far as Housh is concerned, he is about as big of a diva as the come. He hasn't been in Seattle (w/ Matt) long enough that they have a built up this great chemistry. I also think that some of the young players are starting to show some promise and deserve to get some snaps. Lets be real by the time Seattle is going to be a legit contender Housh will be on the other half of his thirties.

Lastly, consider the source. It's La Conforna. ]]>

Increasingly Dissapointed with the Hawks front office http://spiritof12.seaintsol.com/MBThread.aspx?GroupID=1&ID=16382
I dont know what to say , I havent heard anything bout T.J. being unhappy except for how misused by Mora jr last season he was He claimed he was brought in as a go to guy and then once signed told otherwise Why replace him with a contract holdout ? All off season this team has been minus drama , and now two weeks before weeks one the drama begins .
what the heck are you guys thinking? You should be trying to get Mcneil at left tackle vs Jackson at wr if anything .!nobody is going to be open if Hass only gets 2 seconds to throw the ball .Hey while you guys are at it just trade Matt to Cleveland , I'm sure Holmy would love to pull the trigger on that deal and who cares how aggressive Baltimore was , Josh was 22nd overall pick in the draft and you guys take a 5th round pick for him ? I didnt see Tate return any kicks worth mention , let alone start at cb , what gives? all of a sudden the raiders front office is looking like they know what they are doing and Seattle doesnt .very dissapointed fan here . ]]>

Man Just keep Williams on the field with Branch and Housh and evreything will be just fine.
dont waste money on a contract holdout , holdout sends the wrong message , what happens when his new contract isnt good enough ? then he holds out again ," If you give a baby his or her way , they know how to work you " from then on its just a game for them . ]]>

Actually I hope the Hawks lose this game , I dont want to see any starters on the field for fear of injury. we play the Raiders this season , look for a basic cookie cut offense and defense tonight. If They win they win , no big deal either way , its preseason ]]>

Re: sooo tj is http://spiritof12.seaintsol.com/MBThread.aspx?GroupID=1&ID=16381
I really dont understand why the front office would even make wind of this . Housh has had all the first team snaps and seen alot of playing time because of it , now going into the season they wanna talk about trading him ? So clear some cap space for V jack , I think thats a bad move , now TJ is going to be disgruntled when he was happy , and for what ? to bring in a holdout ? what a waste of time , I over the past week all of a sudden have deep concearns about the front office and the moves they are making , my optimism about winning the west is all of a sudden out the window as well . It's getting hard to love a team when the office is chewing it up .V jack is a problem child , and Seattle is looking to make the big mistake of adopting him ! ]]>

Re: sooo tj is http://spiritof12.seaintsol.com/MBThread.aspx?GroupID=1&ID=16381

According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, it's "believed" the Seahawks are trying to part with T.J. Houshmandzadeh in an effort to clear salary space for Vincent Jackson.

It's an honorable idea. The Seahawks are highly unlikely to find a trade partner for Houshmandzadeh, but theoretically could release the declining veteran to get the rest of his contract off the books. They'd still be on the hook for Housh's $7 million guaranteed salary, of course, but Seattle owner Paul Allen has deep pockets. If he wants a better chance to win, he'll do it.

A more detailed article that states the Hawks may just cut him and eat the salary. That being said if any team actually believes that the Hawks will cut him, there is no way that they would trade for him and that enormous salary. ]]> Thu, 2 Sep 2010 22:08:00 GMT
